Hosameldin received his bachelor's degree with Honors in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Control and Instrumentation) from the University of Khartoum, Sudan in 2013. He received his master's degree cum laude in Mechatronics Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino, Italy in 2018. During 2018-2019 he worked as a research fellow at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia with the Artificial and Mechanical Intelligence research line (Dynamic Interaction Control until 2021), working on the Aerial Humanoid Robots project. Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate with the Politecnico di Milano and the Artificial and Mechanical Intelligence. His research interests include estimation and control of humanoid robots, focusing on aerial humanoid robots.
