Victor first graduated in Electrical Engineering in 2006 receiving a bachelor’s degree from the Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (UDESC), Brazil. He received the master’s degree in electrical engineering and the doctorate degree in automation and systems engineering from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), Brazil, 2008 and 2013, respectively. In 2013 he joined the Dynamic Legged Systems Lab at IIT as a postdoc expert in blind and reactive quadruped locomotion. He is currently a senior researcher at IIT and his general research interests include motion generation and control for quadruped robots. His research has emphases in dynamic locomotion and reactive actions using proprioceptive and exteroceptive sensors, Whole-Body Controllers, Model-Predictive Control and Machine Learning.
