José Enrique Domínguez Vidal received his PhD in Automatic Control, Robotics and Vision from Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), Spain, in 2025 working at the Institut de Robòtica i Informàtica Industrial (IRI-CSIC) with a thesis entitled “Understanding Human Intention for Human-Robot Interaction”. He previously received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Telecommunications Engineering in 2016 and 2018 respectively, both from the University of Vigo, Galicia, Spain.
He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Italian Institute of Technology, working on the use of foundation models to create tools that improve collaboration between humans and robots in multiple tasks. His interests focus on the intersection between engineering and psychology.
